Here is my ultimate list of CVC words. Every teacher knows the importance of having a word list of anything they teach. Especially if you would like to make your own resources. CVC stands for Consonant, Vowel, Consonant. When the children are familiar with the phonic sound of letters, they can start blending them together to make a simple three-letter phonetic word. In Montessori, it belongs to the Pink Scheme. Not all CVC words are phonetic. When I introduce composing CVC words I like to stay away from non-phonetic CVC words like car or jar. All the words in this ultimate list are phonetic.
